<p>Honoring Pauline Damen (Poppy): The Heart Behind Our Rally</p><p></p><p>We are proud to dedicate our Shitbox Rally journey to an incredible woman, Pauline Damen – lovingly known as Poppy.</p><p></p><p>Poppy was the true definition of living life to the fullest and dancing to the beat of her own drum. She grabbed life with both hands, giving it everything she had, and inspired everyone around her to do the same.</p><p></p><p>Diagnosed with cancer in 2024, Poppy fought bravely but sadly lost her battle at the end of the year. Her passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched.</p><p></p><p>Poppy was adored by her 20 nieces and nephews and cherished by friends and family from all walks of life. She had a magnetic personality that drew people in, a spirit that encouraged everyone to live unapologetically, and a heart that made everyone feel seen and loved.</p><p></p><p>This rally is more than a journey; it’s our way of honoring Poppy’s legacy. She inspired us to live like no one is watching, and through this rally, we hope to spread even a fraction of the joy, courage, and positivity that she brought to the world.</p><p></p><p>Please visit the website we’ve created to raise funds for the Cancer Council and help us continue Poppy’s legacy of making a difference.
